Creating Your Vessel Task Account

This guide will walk you through the process of creating and setting up your Vessel Task account.

Sign Up Process

Navigate to Sign Up

Visit vesseltask.com and click on the “Sign Up” button in the top right corner.

Enter Your Information

Fill in the required information:
  • Email address
  • Strong password (at least 8 characters)
  • Full name

Select Account Type

Choose your account type:

Boat Owner

For individuals who own boats and want to track maintenance

Service Provider

For marine service professionals offering maintenance services

Fleet Manager

For organizations managing multiple vessels

Verify Email

Check your inbox for a verification email from Vessel Task. Click the verification link to confirm your account.

Setting Up Your Profile

After verifying your email, you’ll be guided through a brief onboarding process:
Complete your profile by adding:
  • Profile picture (optional)
  • Phone number
  • Location/timezone
Configure how you’d like to receive notifications:
  • Email notifications
  • SMS notifications
  • Push notifications (mobile app)
  • Notification frequency
Add your payment method for premium features or service payments:
  • Credit/debit card
  • PayPal account
  • Bank account (ACH)

Account Security

We recommend enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) for added security:
Account Settings > Security > Enable 2FA
Choose your preferred authentication method:
  • Authenticator app (recommended)
  • SMS verification
  • Email verification

Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues during the account creation process:
  • Make sure you’re using a valid email address
  • Check your spam/junk folder for the verification email
  • Try using a different browser or clearing your cache
  • Contact support@vesseltask.com for assistance
For security reasons, you have 24 hours to verify your email before the account creation link expires.
